Rachel Michaels is at the top of her profession, but she's grown tired of trading barbs with her co-host/exhusband on their popular morning radio talk show. Eager to stretch her wings, she takes a second job as the color commentator for Denver’s new professional women’s soccer team. Along with her new job comes an exciting assignment, travel to Venezuela to profile the team's sizzling star recruit, Miranda Gutierrez. But Rachel begins to long for a little of her old routine when her boss forces her to extend her stay to accompany team big-wig, Nora Butler, and the headstrong player on a "bonding" adventure. Their journey gets off to a bad start, and things go downhill from there. All three women are tested mentally and physically as they fight for their lives. They must learn to depend on each other, shape their own destinies, and, ultimately, risk everything for what matters most.

What would you do to survive? How much would you risk for love?

Years ago, Lorna Malachi, a frightened teenager, was plunged into a nightmare called Blue Ridge Women’s Correctional Facility. Terrified and desperate to belong, she sold her soul one piece at a time. She survived to sit atop of the ever-shifting trash heap of prison society.

Lorna has learned the hard way not to trust anyone, particularly penal system virgins like Kellie Holloway, her unrepentant new cellmate. But Kellie’s pride and cluelessmess guarantee that without help, she won’t last long.

Together, Kellie and Lorna navigate through an oppressive, hidden world where lines between right and wrong blur, sexual passion is forbidden but explosive, and love is the biggest risk of all.

Last Train

The end of the nineteenth century might have been the Gilded Age for the likes of Rockefellers and Carnegies—but for the newly arriving immigrants and poverty-stricken Americans packed into Manhattan’s teeming Lower Eastside, it was a different story all together.

In this tumultuous time, factory worker Virginia Chisholm hopes for more, but her dreams go up in smoke when a tenement blaze rips her family apart. Aided by Lindsay Killian, the street-wise, rail-riding drifter she meets in a charity hospital, Ginny follows the orphan train that has taken her siblings west. The desperate quest to reunite her family takes the young women from the slums of New York City to the farms of West Virginia and the bustling frontier beyond. This harrowing journey moves Ginny and Lindsay from one mishap and adventure to another. It also leads them both from friendship to a tender and unexpected romance.

From their earliest years, five very different girls were as close as sisters—sharing everything, even secrets and lies—until their friendship and their lives were ripped apart by a devastating act of betrayal from one of their own.

Twenty years have gone by, and one woman has more cause to regret her estrangement from the group than the rest. An old promise leads to a reunion, which unearths memories, mistrust, and hidden agendas as the former friends—grown up and grown apart—reconnect and realize the impact they’ve had on each other's lives. Real and perceived betrayals jeopardize the entire event … as well as the hopes of a rekindled romance.

The bonds of love and friendship can be as strong as steel. But are they unbreakable?

UNBREAKABLE is the winner of the 2006 Goldie Award for Romance.
